Material Handling Starts & ends with Dock Levelers .
Hydraulic dock levelers are hinged type equipment which can be mounted at entry
point flush with elevated workshop floor and can be hydraulically adjusted to
form a dock with LCV,Trucks etc to facilitate quick and efficient
loading/unloading of LCV/Trucks.
Operation:The equipment is Electrohydraulically operated by 415VAC power pack
and push buttons , and the platform can be raised or lowered above or below
horizontal level to adjust to small LCV's or big trucks.
Scissor type dock leveler are used when conventional dock leveler become too
long to give the required gradient i.e. the level difference between floor level
( d o c k ) & l o r r y is > 450 mm approximately. In case of pallet trucks &
Powered stackers the gradient has to be minimum to avoid interference of
stackers legs since ground clearance is less in these equipments
